I've been doing a lot of reading lately on the Sims Medieval and all I can think of is Stories. The scenery, content and clothing will make excellent back drops, no trying to hide tarmac roads or sign posts, no waiting for the school bus, paper boy or that bloody Mr Humble to leave before taking your shot. Yeah I like the look of it but will it be Sims, well, you can't build, no biggie for me as all I can't build is square boxes. And if your planning a legacy story forget it, children don't grow up and ok, your stories are limited to that time frame. I am wondering if you can create an adult child by picking two and creating through body shop like you can in S2 and S3 but as yet I've not found out. I am impressed with the quality of the setting, the kingdoms look beautiful as if someone spent a lot of time and thought putting pencil to paper. I like the different subjects you can be, from assassin to king/queen and as there are sorcerers I imagine the magic will be better than in Apartment life (I hope) The big question is will it take of, probably....will it be as big as S2 and S3, probably not, with that the bigger question is if you can do stories with it will there be custom content and hacks (Pose boxes and so on) you never know. Will I buy the game, yes...will I be disappointed, probably but on the plus side they are already looking at expansion packs so hopefully they will listen to the buyer again.
This is not meant to be a review, how can I when its not yet out. This is just a storytellers thoughts and hopes, it would be nice if kids grew in the future that pose boxes and hacks became available and even that I could build my square boxes but I 'll just have to wait and see.
I haven't read up on this, though I heard it was coming. I too, would only be interested in its story capability, if any. I don't care if kids don't grow up, etc. And bugger Mr. Humble.

For the last two Christmases, Hubby asked did I want Sims 3, I said no. This, I might go for, thanks for the sneak peak mate~
Hi Drew, there was quite a bit I left out, basically the game play itself as I was only thinking of the story possibilities. I'll probably get it and see what I can do so will let you know.If you get the chance have a look at the screen shots as I have to say the imagery is fantastic.
