6.6.11

After reading Drew's book which is fantastic by the way I have become hooked on reading again. As a kid and even in my teens I spent my time reading and over the years have read anything from Mills and boon (That was a long time ago) to Greek Mythology and Vampires, basically I'll read anything and everything. The written word can send you deep into outer space or back to regency times, from Vampires to robots and super heroes. It can send you to far off lands where you are the hero or the villain with ships with sails and where men are men, tall broad and dashing the sweep a girl of her feet kind. As I grew older my tastes changed, Enid Blyton was replaced with mills and boon which was replaced by James Herbert then suddenly I stopped reading, why? because I discovered the computer.
Over the years I forgot how magical books were and became fixated on technology, sentences and paragraphs were replaced with Ram and Bytes. Ok so maybe not all of it should be blamed on the PC, I grew older and wiser, common sense told me that the  Secret seven would never crack cases like that as they were kids, the mills and boons romance was well as I found out a crock of shit, there is no knight in white armour to sweep you of your feet and horror books, after years of reading them I realised one day they no longer scared me, why read a horror if you can calmly close the book late at night turn of the lights and don't have an urge to look over your shoulder as you climb the stairs to bed.
Then I read Timeless heart, the words leapt out at me, the descriptions so vivid I could see it in my mind and a found I had missed it, missed the magic. Times have moved one from when I had to save my pocket money or buy a book second hand, today you have E books which are fantastic, no waiting for delivery no scouring rows of shelves, pay and download, YES! I sit in my corner at my PC on on the sofa with my laptop and loose myself in the words and in case your wondering they are romance, I may not believe in the real world but I am still a woman and can dream, can't I.

With the final of The Circle approaching I thought I would give a sneak peak at two of the characters due to make an appearance in the next story. Again set in the realm with some old and new faces but this two have become my favourite and I just love the shot, it looks so magical.

Vorel is Helmer of Drayad, cold and ruthless he has closed of his province to all outsiders to protect his people from the illness that is sweeping Jajij. Dragged from the mortal world as food Ella gets the wrong attention when she stabs one of Vorel's men. He cannot deny his desire for her or the feeling all is not right with his little hell cat and makes it his mission to make her his but she has other plans, to belong to a Demon is a fate worse than death.

Part 1 of Denouement is now up HERE, this is the first of the last five chapters (If that makes sense).

  2. Hi Drew
I have to admit the look of this Vamp gives me goosebumps.

My head's been buried in a book a week, seven to be exact but since I'm down with pneumonia again I've not got much else to do.

A Paranormal by Larissa Ione, sounds interesting will have to check it out.

I'm married, three kids and two grandkids, I'm also mad as a hatter.

Hello

Here you will find my stories made with the Sims 2, most of them will be about Vampires as I am completely nuts on them but anything I can think of will proberly end up here, I fell for the game when my eldest daughter came home with Sims 1.
As well as my stories I love horror and scifi movies.
I'm also a metel head and enjoy most heavy metel from Iron Maiden, Slipknot to Epica and Nightwish, oh! I suppose I should mention I'm married with three kids.
Warning! my stories will contain bad language, sex and violence, hell! you can't have a good story without them.

Enjoy.
